Risk has been a blogger and freelance writer for over fifteen years. She has covered topics from conservation to gender politics and taxidermy. She has penned numerous short stories and scripts, and wrote her two short films, "Parlour Tricks" and "Reptile House. Her writing has been published in Vice, Huffington Post, and Exclaim Magazine. She is currently working on her first novel.
